‘Kate Wells Textiles’

Produces innovative, sustainable products for Fashion and Interiors employing hand-dyed and printed textile techniques

Set up by the designer, author and educator:

Dr Kate Wells

The company believes in 'Slow Textiles' and its

aim is to use sustainable and ethical production methods

combined with organic, sustainable and recycled sourcing.

Kate's work is inspired by the Japanese

aesthetic philosophy of Wabi-Sabi.

Each piece that is produced is unique, a one-off.

The resist dyeing process creates a degree of randomness

and allows the hand of nature and the process to

interact with the fabric so that there is

a degree of imperfection and randomness,

a uniqueness that can be seen and enjoyed.
